Terms of participation

As of October 2026. Translation for convenience; the German version is legally binding.

1. Organiser

The tournament is organised by Fachschaft Wirtschaftsinformatik und Data Science an der @tu_wien (see legal notice).

2. Participation

• A team consists of two people. All team members must be at least 18 years old and show photo ID on request.
• Registration is online while spots are available; the organisers confirm participation.
• Teams must check in on site before the start; teams that have not checked in may be replaced.
• Any entry fee and further details are listed on the home page. Fees are only refunded if the organiser cancels the tournament.

3. Format

• Single elimination with a third-place match; the draw is random and may include byes.
• Tables are called on the website and the projector. Teams that do not show up within a reasonable time may lose by walkover.

4. Rules and decisions

The game rules and announcements by the organisers on site apply. Referee decisions are binding; the organisers decide disputes finally and may correct results.

5. Responsible drinking

• Nobody has to drink alcohol. Look after yourselves and each other.
• Anyone visibly drunk, aggressive or endangering others may be excluded without refund.
• The venue's house rules apply.

6. Liability

The organiser is fully liable for intent, gross negligence and injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence, liability is limited to breaches of essential obligations and to foreseeable, typical damage. No further liability for personal belongings.
